CREATIVE CD RW RW8438E DRIVER

I have seen two of them myself, they look completely different. I have never heard of the re e. But I switched back to win98 to do some backing up of files onto discs, and for some reason the problem persisted after upgrading Nero burning software as a good little enthusiast does when a new version of something comes out. All of them fail for various reasons related to win32aspi.

Always just one skip, and always during the last seconds of the song. I wish I’d been more on the ball about everything, and gotten a different drive. Finally Figured it all Out re: I don’t know how big a deal this is, but it may explain another problem I’ve been having with this drive and Nero, no matter what I set the write speed at, it ALWAYS writes at 8x.

This is one reason to rw8438d retail rather than OEM. If that sounds good, drop me an email in the profile and we can work something out.

Again, doing the firmware flash at the command prompt isn’t good enough. It seems that it will nearly always skip when playing music.

It failed due to what amounts to “wrong [drive] model” Thought I’d give it all a try before getting rid of this drive. Again, too late to edit, but EDIT: I had a and never had a lick of trouble with it. Thanks, Ego dog edit: Fri Dec 14, 8: That’s all well and good, but if it’s trying to extract digital audio at a speed the drive doesn’t support, I suppose that may be my problem with the skipping.

Re: Creative CD-RW RWE

Think I’d be better off with this? In xp, I get these results at command prompt C: Fri Dec 14, 7: I haven’t installed the firmware update yet cgeative the readme states it will bring firmware 1.

At first I thought the model number only existed on websites that were selling the drive. I’ll probably get Nero anyway or copy the version that came with my Creative before sending it back, hehe.

Finally Figured it all Out (re: Creative CDRW RW8438E)

I’ll try the firmware and see what happens. I have seen two of them myself, they look completely different. But I switched back to win98 to do some backing up of files onto discs, and for some reason the problem persisted after upgrading Nero burning software as a good little enthusiast does when a new version of something comes out.

It’d be worth it to me to get rid of that origin of much stress.
